Our Concerns Projects

  1. According to UNICEF there are 10 crore poor children in India, who live in abject poverty, who do not get one square meal a day, who are homeless and do not have access to education.
  2. There is high level of malnutrition among children of India; 38.4% of children are stunted.
  3. There is poor learning outcome among children; only 42% of children in Grade 3 can read correctly the text of Grade I.
  4. More girl-children die than boys; 11% more girls die under the age of 5.
  5. Children from rural areas, slums, scheduled castes and tribes, suffer malnutrition, have less access to health services; there are more child marriages, less sanitation facilities, and access to good drinking water.
  6. 54% adolescent girls have anemia compared to 30% of boys. This can have an adverse influence on the next generation.
  7. 60-90% of girls face sexual harassment or sexual violence in public places.
  8. India has the largest number of child brides in the world. India ranks 4th, after Bangladesh, Nepal and Afghanistan among the eight South Asian Countries in terms of Child marriage prevalence.
  9. 53% of girl-children are illiterate, have no access to schools.
  10. One third of girls does not live beyond the age of 15.
  11. 20 lakh new-born children do not survive to celebrate their first birthday.
  12. 1.5 lakh persons died of Covid in India; to protect people from Covid, now vaccines are available. 3 lakh children die of hunger in this country every year; to present these deaths there is a vaccine, it is called FOOD.
